Appearance: Merrah appears to be a beautiful young woman in her mid-twenties of a toned physique.  Her silver hair with it's pink highlights frame exotic red eyes that usually cast her personality in a sultry, playful light.  The only real indications that she is a gijinka (beyond the odd eye color) are the short ears to either side of her head, and the long whip-like tail bound and braided behind her.  The gijinka always wears the garments and accessories of a woman of class, prefering clothing that gives her body more exposure without appearing trashy.  She has a deep love of flower motifs.

Personality: The Mienshao courtesan Merrah is best described as a flighty individual, doing what moves her in a given moment.  More often then that, she will take what feels good over what is practical, a practice which has gotten her in trouble on more than one occasion.  It has lead her to come off as crass, headstrong, or difficult when faced with a situation that she wasn't fond of.  A businesswoman first, and a lady second, she can show remarkable poise and discipline when dealing with the opposite sex.  Merrah knows just how to string along someone that is looking for her affections, how to hold out for that little bit extra.

She can also be a notorious instigator.  Her personality absolutely feeds off of stirring up trouble, it is perhaps why she entered the lines of work she now finds herself in.  Flirting, fighting, and... well... she is an escort by trade.  Nothing more enjoyable then another's company when they're a little rough, that's how she'd phrase it politely.  Occasionally self conscious about her appearance, she quietly fears those days in the future when she's no longer seen as the stunning beauty that she is now.

History:  Merrah blossomed into womanhood from a spoiled little girl in a well to-do family in Port Priestess.  Given the small nature of the place, well to do was subjective compared to the affluence, variety, and power of almost any nameable location on the Coin Islands.  Honest work (a life of mending nets, baking, fishing, and straining) didn't appeal to the girl.  As it was, the lowland environ near the coast didn't particularly agree with her.  She wanted to be on top.  A paragon, a pinnacle to look down on others.

In her later teens, more time was spent at the docks.  Merrah would greet tourists, offer tours of the city with her company, and began a small business all her own within Port Priestess.  That business still operates as a side venture to this day, a bit of a pet project and an embarrassment of hers all rolled into one.  'The Priestess Strut' offers guides, complementary maps and directions, and a few under the table services from it's attractive staff.  If Merrah employs anyone at that location over the age of 32, they're likely support staff.

From that business it was all onward and upward.  At 19, Merrah had successfully established a self-sustaining enterprise.  Taking it as an indication to move forward with her now steady and (work free) flow of income, she invested her take into more.  Traveling the islands, she established other notable businesses, each with it's own fun little spin on one of her favorite activities.  King City's Page District saw the rise of a hotel central to several of the universities called 'On Bended Knee'.  Tourists take this as a play on the district name itself, but the locals know better.  An excellent choice of location (the permits were a pain to get), the returns on it grew Merrah's influence.

Sun City was ideal, perfect.  There was competition here and Merrah relished in it.  Getting out on her own had been one thing, reaching a comfortable station of living, but the core of her fighting spirit demanded she assert dominance!  Merrah enjoyed doing a hard day's work now and then, some people were into that, but in the business world! The gijinka's fortune grew, as did her holdings, staff, clients, and variety of both.  In the places where it was appropriate like the Strip, they were in plain sight.  In the nicer, well to do portents of town they were so skillfully hidden that even an upstanding customer wouldn't ever know they'd entered a brothel.  She has since settled in a penthouse condo atop one of the largest skyscrapers in Sun City, content to look over the empire she'd built.  Merrah works when she feels the itch, or takes a particular interest in a client's personal life.

The immediate business she deals in is named 'Convalescence', a day spa style venue and escort service attached to a high roller casino and hotel 'After Dark'.  Her immediate business partner brought her into the fold with promise for more.  Merrah likes more a great deal, had already lived in a gray area for most of her life, it brought her into the Tarot Islands underground proper.  A few changes had to be made within her management staff region wide, and the girth of the initial swell of information was hard to take, but it was all well in hand before long.  Informant, businesswoman, pleasure princess.  This was Merrah Tsun-Ko.

Details: Katherine was hired for her talents as a seamstress, as well as her ability to hide in plain sight.  Her trainer pays the Leavanny in time as a model for the bug pokemon's designs.  Taking pride in her craft, Katherine wants for very little at Merrah's side.  Like Amber, Katherine met the gijinka when she was younger, the pokemon was already fully grown at that time.  Recalling the stern, no sass Pokemon, it had been a long journey and a large expense to secure her particular talents.  Katherine is constantly redesigning her own outfit, and currently sports a long gown with no collar.

Details: Amber was with Merrah growing up in Port Priestess, they're childhood friends.  The girls were together when Amber evolved, and have been inseparable their entire lives as a result.  The Lopunny wears clothing in contrast with Merrah's to make the gijinka stand out more.  She has a supportive personality, but misses the more natural environment of the jungles around Port Priestess.  When they are alone she'll choose to go nude (something Merrah herself will do from time to time), there is no shame between them.
