Name: Lily Oceania
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Species: Latias Gijinka
Appearance:
Lily is, at her base level, a sixteen year old girl. She has long, flowing white hair; a little too long for a girl her age, likely due to her pokemon infused DNA shaping her traits. On that same note, she has two tufts of shorter white hair that stick up from the sides of her head, an obvious trait inherited from her Latias genetics; they seem to refuse to be styled, and return to their natural state regardless. Lily is on the skinny side, almost frail, likely due to her vegetarian habits. She has a strong affinity for red and white clothes, her favorite aesthetic is white clothes with red accents; it suits her tastes on a subconscious level. Not pictured in her file photo are two iconic Latias wings, the reason being they fold against her body for convenience and ease of living when not flying, like a bird's wings. Her eyes are gold, just as her source pokemon’s.
Personality: Lily is best described as the shy, quiet type... at least, if you're human. Raised on Wand Island, home to small tribes of Gijinka and no humans, Lily is very wary of humankind, preferring to spend her time in the company of Pokemon (rather than most Gijinka even, the exception being her brother). It's not that she dislikes Gijinka... but most she grew up with were set on telling her what she should be doing, what she couldn't do, and how she was shirking her responsibilities. The exception to this rule of course was her brother Laurel, whom she loves very much, and respects.
Lily is... whimsical, fanciful, she feels the wanderlust. She is definitely the playful one of the duo, when in her natural state, she’s always looking for pokemon to play with, feelings to experience, or things to do. Her favorite activity is cruising the Tarot Islands, visiting the various pokemon that live on the different landmasses. She’s made many friends over the years at all of the various islands.
Her favorite activities usually involve pokemon or nature in some way. She loves to soar through the open air, high above the world, and feel the wind rush through her hair and downy wing feathers. She loves to find a secluded spot and stare up at the night sky, losing herself in thought, pondering her place in the world. She’ll take walks through the forest, greeting the pokemon that live there, inquire about their lives, always curious about the nature of pokemon.
If you hadn’t noticed, all of these have not involved humans in any way. Though she is a Gijinka and technically part human, the Gijinka were raised in tribal clans on undeveloped islands, creating a wariness of the human race, reinforced by the stories from the elders about their greed and thirst for control. She generally prefers to avoid humans, but if absolutely necessary to interact with them, she goes from whimsical to shy, timid, reserved. If she perceives any aggression from a human, she will most likely squeak in fear and turn invisible.
Lily, being a Latias, is sensitive to the emotions of those around her. If in the presence of a pokemon or gijinka, and negative emotions are being felt, she will do her best to correct those emotions, or comfort them if she cannot. Conversely, if in the presence of happy beings, she draws happiness and energy from them, boosting her mood.
History:
Born to a psychic elemental mother and fathered by a Flygon in one of the larger Gijinka tribes of Wand Island, Lily was born into an already established “prophecy” by those in her tribe. At this point, her brother the “Latios” was already two years old, and the preparations for her arrival were well under way. According to certain legends, when one eon twin was born, the other would follow shortly behind, completing the legendary pair. As a child, Lily desired the one thing she couldn’t have much of; freedom. Because of this so-called “prophecy,” she was made to sit inside all day, listening to the boring adults talk nonsense about her “duties” and “responsibilities” as one of the legendary guardians of Tarot, but she wanted nothing to do with any of that. She would often sneak out to talk to the local pokemon of the island (much to the dismay of her brother) and get properly reprimanded when brought back to her parents. Of course, this had the opposite effect than intended; instead of staying inside, it only made her find new, creative ways to ditch the hierarchy of elders constantly doting on her. It was during one of these such endeavors that she discovered her invisibility power, and using the same technique, her disguise shortly after. She would recall one time her tutor exited one of the class areas to take a walk… and the met himself. Oh how startled he was, and what a day to learn Lily had discovered her disguise powers! After that though, the adults started to get a bit more strict with their watchful eye. It was her brother that seemed to be the only one not attempting to restrict her in any way; he would often cover for her if she would have gotten into trouble, and would even tag along at times. To her, he seemed to accept the life their parents had laid out for them, and that made her feel guilty at times; she was often a distraction to his studies and duties, the ones he was actually trying to accomplish for both of their sakes.
One day without explanation (to her), her brother insisted they had to leave the village. Ever trusting of her older brother, she followed him without argument; that was six years ago. Six years of freedom, happiness, life. She would later learn it was actually her parents that had spurred Laurel into action; he had overheard them start to discuss more physical punishments for her increasing amount of slacking off as they called it, and Laurel had felt it was time for them to leave the nest, so to speak. Though they were young, they would have the land at their disposal (and the pokemon in it) to shelter them during the night, feed them during the day, and keep them safe from prying eyes…. And so they grew. Intimately involved with the land sustaining them, they were unwittingly becoming true guardians of nature.

“Rrrreeeeeeeaddyyyyyy….” Lily prepared, the wind starting to whip faster around her as she stood near the top of one of Death’s peaks; the wind then started blowing harder toward the base, as Lily’s wings unfolded. In her peripheral vision, she could see her brother following suit. She was totally going to beat him this time. She usually did! Who needed caution when you could win? This was one of Lily’s favorite games, race down the mountain! There was that one time she had hit a tree… and that other time a Tropius had wandered into her path… but it was mostly safe! Her brother totally lost speed when he did silly things like avoid obstacles..
“Go!” she called, suddenly lurching forward, the thrust she created with her flight power sending a cloud of dust into the air. In mere moments, the trees were upon her, standing like scattered traffic cones, a living obstacle course. They had come to Sword Island today, a decently sized island composed almost entirely of wild pokemon, a perfect place to hang out and play; it was one of their favorite islands. As the scenery rolled by, she took a moment to glance behind her; her brother was totally falling behind. The excitable Eon hybrid zigged and zagged between tree after tree, almost by memory at this point as they passed by in a blur of greens and browns. What she [/i]hadn’t[/i] memorized, or even considered at all for that matter, was a gajinka-like shape suddenly appearing in front of her vision, far too suddenly for her to stop; she recoiled, her wings straining against the air, trying to parachute-effect herself to a halt, but couldn’t quite get it in time. She collided with the figure, sending them both tumbling into the thick undergrowth, a rough “augh!” coming from the shape as it was unexpectedly and forcibly removed from the spot it was standing in. As the world stopped spinning around her, and the finer details deblurred themselves, she realized she had landed on a soft lump that was now groaning beneath her. She grabbed a fistful of whatever she was sitting on; it was soft, cloth. Like a shirt.
“Uh,” a voice said somewhere under her, to which she turned her head to look at it; “Hi.” What greeted her eyes wasn’t a gijinka; she’d landed on… it was a… a… human! Lily shrieked in surprise, her entire body refracting the light around her in a fraction of a second, effectively rendering her invisible as she stumbled backwards off of the human, and retreated behind the nearby tree her brother had perched himself in. With her heart still hammering in her chest both from flight and the complete shock of seeing her first human ever, one eye cautiously poked itself out from behind the tree. What was it doing here? This was their island! They had their own metal jungles to go to! She listened as her brother spoke to it. It was rare she saw him in this form… he was her protector, yes, but even when she annoyed him (and she had to admit, it was plentiful) he had never been this forceful. As the human ran away, she was emboldened by her brother’s command of the situation, and stepped out from behind the tree, returning to the visible world;
“Y-yeah! This is our island!” She called out after the human, despite the fact that he was already ten strides down the path, and likely wouldn’t hear it anyway.
“Now now Lily, this isn’t our island. This island belongs to the Pokemon; we are simply their welcome guests,” her brother so dutifully reminded her from atop his perch.
“I know that, silly,” she retorted back, doing him the favor of alighting on the branch he was inhabiting, to make conversation easier at the very least; or perhaps she just wanted him nearby after being startled. “I just meant… well… you know what I meant!” She insisted. “Was that… was that really a human? I mean I know what they look like from like, pictures and the news ‘n stuff, but like… here?” Laurel put his arm around her, which she happily accepted.
““It seems so,” he responded. “Given their habits of training Pokemon for their own needs, I’m not surprised one would be found hunting for them here. I don’t think this one shall return though.”
“Good…” she responded in turn, fluttering her wings a bit to straighten her feathers after the tumble. “I felt a weird sensation from him. Like he was trying to be… in control.”
“That is the power of a human; they are good at controlling Pokemon for a reason,” he informed her. “The aura they radiate... It’s all the more reason to be careful around them.” The tutors at the village had probably tried to tell her this more than a few times, but… well, humans were boring. Pokemon were fun, exciting, friendly. She gave him a nod to assure she’d heard.his thoughts. They sat in silence for several moments.
“They… can’t control us, right?” She finally asked, giving her brother a concerned, yet optimistic look. She didn’t think so, but… well, she’d skipped that part of the lesson.
“Thankfully no. We’ve got nothing to worry about, but the Pokemon of this island can’t say the same thing.” That would at least allay her fears for now, but the fact that humans wanted to use and control pokemon still did not sit right with the Eon guardian. A thought came to her; despite her wariness of these humans, she was till the type to be incredibly curious, and what was to keep the human from hiding till they went away, and then just resuming his capture session after? Her wings snapped back to flight position.
“Let’s see where he goes,” she insisted with a determined look.
